FIRST Tech Challenge competition season is here!
26 teams from across Indiana competed on Saturday, December 7, at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis. Two GEARS teams attended the event. Our rookie team, FTC Team 26448 – Kill Switch, was the Captain of the 5th seeded alliance and earned the Design Award 2nd Place. Veteran team, FTC 14596 – XLR8, was part of the 5th seeded alliance and earned the Inspire Award 1st Place. With that, XLR8 qualified for the Indiana State Championship to be held on March 8, 2025 at the University of Indianapolis.
The next round of competitions will be held in West Lafayette at Battle Ground Middle School. FTC Team 12014 – Fire Wires and FTC Team 18174 – MotoRoyals with compete on Saturday, January 25. FTC Team 12014 – Fire Wires, FTC Team 14596 – XLR8 and FTC Team 26448 – Kill Switch will compete on Sunday, January 26. More information can be found on the FIRST Indiana Robotics website.
