OSCEOLA, Ind. (WSBT) — Kids had the opportunity to learn more about competitive robotics teams on Saturday, thanks to Gears Youth Robotics Center.
The organization works with kids from 4th – 12th grade and teaches them skills for the future such as communication, presentation and collaboration skills all through robotics.
Gears Youth Robotics Center’s Director Scott Chase said, “They try and try to make something work, and it continues to not function the way they want it to. But then all of a sudden, it works. All of a sudden, the light bulb goes off. And to be around a student when that moment happens is just fantastic.”
