After redesigning from a spindexer to a linear ramp design, we have a ~0.2s rapid fire from any position in the field, a three-artifact-wide intake that can be lifted by a servo while having compliance, a 3 second lifting mechanism powered by a clutch power takeoff, and an extremely compact 48mm wide bare motor drivetrain with 3 different RPM configurations, all packaged within a 10.8 inch by 13 inch footprint. Come see this engineering marvel at our pit! For our awards, we have won the Inspire Award 1st Place, 3rd Place, and Finalist Alliance Captain at our qualifiers. We were the 4th alliance partner in the Massachusetts Championship and won the Innovate award.

The name Galactic Narwhal Chicken Effect, or GNCE, was created in 2020, when two FLL teams in Weston, Massachusetts, Aquatic Chickens and Butterfly Effect, combined into one FTC team. Starting out in the coach’s garage, the robotics program in Weston has grown to 21 total teams with 154 students through student advocacy. In competitions, we represent ourselves through our iconic chicken and narwhal hats, squeaking rubber chickens, and a blow-up narwhal costume! In the organization’s history, 3 teams have qualified to the World Championship 5 total times, winning the Division Inspire Award and the Motivate 2nd Place award, and 2 teams have qualified for the Premier Events 2 total times. 2 teams were invited to the Multinational Tech Invitational (then Maryland Tech Invitational) twice, and we, GNCE Diamond, made the playoffs in the Into the Deep season.
