This season, at the regional stage, we won the Think Award – 1st Place, securing our qualification for the national stage of the FTC Romania competition. There, David Miklos, a highly experienced STEM member of our team, received the FIRST Leadership Award Finalist distinction and will go on to compete at the World Championship in Houston, where he will continue to represent the values and spirit of the FTC community.

We are a robotics team from Hunedoara, Romania, founded in 2018 under the name RobotY. In 2021, following a generational change and driven by the desire to strengthen our connection with the local community, the team was renamed RavenTech HD. This change reflects both our origins and our commitment to continuous development and innovation. Our team is guided by mentors Adrian-Carol Budiul, Mircea Nistor, Cristina Miklos, and Imre Miklos, whose support and expertise are essential to our growth and performance. Starting in 2022, RavenTech HD expanded its recruitment process to include both high school and middle school students, with the goal of encouraging early involvement in STEM and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the team. Our core values are continuous self-improvement, teamwork, and achieving excellence in robotics. Throughout the competition, our team delivered outstanding performances, finishing the qualification rounds undefeated (10 wins out of 10 matches) and ranking 1st. In the elimination stage, we had the honor of becoming the captains of the winning alliance in the Clark Division. Beyond the competition itself, we also had the opportunity to enrich our cultural and educational experience by visiting important landmarks such as the Studebaker Museum, 360 Tower, and the Museum of Science and Industry.
